Nooka x Spongebob x Dalek

Nooka has banded together with Nickelodeon to create the second series of SpongeBob inspired timepieces. James Marshall, American artist better known as Dalek, collaborated with Nooka and SpongeBob to design the graphics for these limited edition watches.

The collection will include two Zub Zot 38mm watches with graphics and colors inspired by Spongebob and Patrick Star.

Dalek made his mark in the art world with his iconic Space Monkey character, which looks like a catatonic, twisted mouse. “The Space Monkey is my concept of a human being,” he says. “It’s a tool for relaying and exploring ideas.” Rendered in a minimalist, flat style, Dalek used the Space Monkey like an alter ego, a visual manifestation of his feelings as well as his love for the absurdity of human interactions. Dalek received his BFA from the Art Institute of Chicago and was an apprentice for famed Japanese artist, Takashi Murakami.
